John Haskins is our Chapter Chairman since 2007.  John is currently the Security Manager for Wyeth, Ireland.  He has been a member of ASIS International since 1999 and has served as the Deputy Chair and now as Chair for the Irish Chapter.

John entered the security profession in 1985 when he studied for a Diploma in Business Management – Security, at Dublin Institute of Technology. Since then John has worked in a wide variety of security roles including Prison Officer, Security Manager at the Conrad Hotel, Dublin and Contract Security Manager for Microsoft, Ireland. He has been in his current position with Wyeth for the past two years.

In 2001 John became a Certified Protection Professional (CPP) – this is an ASIS International qualification that is highly recognised within the security profession. ASIS International assists security professionals to study and prepare for the examination that is required to gain this qualification.

John also holds a Masters in Security & Risk Management and a Diploma in Safety, Health and Welfare at Work
